NEW VIDEO: Lupe Fiasco - "Superstar"

Im not going to lie I'm not a Lupe fan. His music never really inspired me and the rumors of his ignorant attitude wasn't helping either. But all that aside this joints hot. The lyrics are sick and Hype Williams did his thing directing this video.

NEW SITE REVIEW: LOUD.com

Monday, October 29, 2007

One of the First Hip-Hop sites to ever hit the Internet has recently been relaunched & From what ive heard, they mean Business. LOUD.com is an Internet social community strickly founded on the basis of the Hip-Hop culture.

The site includes many familiar characteristics such as: Profiles, Blogs, News Feeds, Forums and Chat Rooms. In Addition they've launched some concepts of thier own like a Digital Music store where aspiring artist can download beats for around 99 cents each, and produce the tracks live on the site. Right now they have a Promotion going on in association with Dj Khaled to find the next Hip-Hop superstar. 100 Grand and a recording contract with Universal Records are also up for grabs.

Overall, I'll rate the site a generous 6.5 from a 1 to 10 scale. They've simply not lived up to the hype. The overall concept of a The Hip-Hop social community is great however they've seemed to miss the whole point of WEB 2.0. Among all other things the site has a terrible design that takes the average computer and eternity to load and the navigation is worse then that of myspace.com. As said before they've simply not lived up to the hype. The Internet has a great number of heavy hitter Hip-Hop sites up right now and and LOUD simply does not seem to have what it takes to compete. I hope they prove me wrong.
